Complete or Partial Dentures When there are no teeth present in the upper arch, lower arch, or both arches, dentures may be the solution. Dentures consist of an acrylic base with plastic, natural-looking teeth. Dentures may be free-floating or they may be anchored by implants. When implants are placed, they preserve the bone and make for a better fitting, longer lasting denture and also make it easier to function with no natural teeth. Partial dentures are fabricated when there are missing teeth and also teeth present in the arch. The partial is made to hook on to existing teeth with clasps giving you a more complete chewing surface. | ||||
