Relax in our reception area while reading
a magazine by the fireplace, or watch our saltwater friends in their busy
environment. Our childrens' corner has games and books or they can relax in
our beanbags while they watch a movie. All of our operatories are equipped
with televisions and headphones and each room has it's own view.
Studies show that over ninety percent of
silver fillings that have been in the mouth for fifteen years or more, have
decay underneath them. We can remove those old fillings and replace them with
a tooth-colored composite material that is bonded to the tooth. These
fillings look more natural and can be more conservative than the old "silver"
or amalgam fillings that were placed in the past. If a tooth is broken, cracked, has a large
filling, or is esthetically displeasing, it can be restored with a crown. A
crown (also known as a cap), covers the entire tooth to prevent any more breakage
and to seal the tooth. Because of advancing technology, we are able to
complete our crowns in only one appointment with CEREC 3D.® When the nerve inside the tooth becomes
infected, a root canal would be the treatment of choice to save the tooth.
During this procedure the nerve is removed. The space where the nerve was is
cleaned, sealed, and a filling material is placed. This procedure can usually
be done in one appointment. After a tooth has had root canal treatment the
tooth can become weakened so a crown should be placed to prevent further
breakage. In the event that a tooth or teeth is
missing, there are a few options to replace them.
